“I am most excited about developing my professional network in Madrid. ” – Madison Koestler

Which groups/sorority/organization are you currently affiliated with?

I like spending a lot of my time working because I love gaining experience in the working world and learning new things. I just finished up an internship at Benestream in their Operations and Human Resources department. In addition to studying and working, I am involved in Fordham’s Global Outreach Program, I am a tour guide at Fordham, and I a variety of volunteer work.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?

I see myself hopefully knowing the answer to this question. I hope to be doing something that I love surrounded by the people that I love. 🙂

What about Madrid seems the most exciting?

I studied abroad in Madrid last Spring and I love everything about Madrid. If I had to pick what I love the most I’d have to say that I love how Madrid is such a big and busy city but also has the laid back and relaxed way of life.

What is one of your proudest accomplishments to date?

My proudest accomplishment was running in my first half marathon in October. I used to not be able to run a mile but a few years ago, I changed my lifestyle, made myself a runner and told myself that one day I would run a half marathon. When I made that goal, I did not think it was realistic. However I proved to myself that I can do anything if I set my mind to it, no matter how far fetched it might seem. Next goal: A full marathon!

What characteristic do you most admire in others?

Genuineness because I love it when people are true to themselves. Compassion because I am passionate about helping others so I admire people who have those same values.

If you could sit and have coffee with one celebrity dead or alive who would it be?

Matt McGory because we have similar views on feminism and other social justice issues and I would love to talk about our views together.
