Caroline Hooper

University of Vermont

Major: Linguistics

Hi Ladies! My name is Caroline Hooper and I’m from Massachusetts. I attend the University of Vermont. Currently my major is Linguistics but I’m considering switching it to Communication Sciences and Disorders. I’m beyond excited to meet everyone and ring in the new year with you! I’m pumped for our interactive Spanish classes and exploring the city.

I am affiliated with the Gamma Tau chapter of Alpha Delta Pi here at UVM. AD Pi’s philanthropy is the Ronald McDonald House. We volunteer by cooking meals for families who have children undergoing medical treatment at the nearby hospital. I’m also a mentor in DREAM which is an organization that pairs college students with children living in affordable housing communities. I’m in the Ski and Snowboard Club too!

In 10 years I hope to be surrounded by friends and family. Professionally, I see myself working with individuals with speech or language disorders. I love working with children so I’d like to incorporate that into my future career plans.

Since I’m from a small town the hustle and bustle of Madrid’s city life excites me. I can’t wait to explore all that we can and I’m especially looking forward to the Flamenco show.

I admire honest and genuine people. I value people who are truly and unconditionally themselves. When you’re not afraid to be yourself you exude confidence which is an extremely admirable characteristic.

If I could sit and have coffee with any celebrity I wouldn’t be able to choose just one so it would be a giant coffee date with Taylor Swift, Emma Watson, Amy Poehler, Tina Fey, Jennifer Lawrence, and Mindy Kaling.

Would you like a course booklet that goes more into detail about the PINC programs? Please fill out the information below and we will be in touch within the next 24 hours.
