PINC 2-Week Summer Immersion

Sunday May 20, 2017 – Saturday June 3, 2017

This PINC Summer Immersion program is 2-weeks focused on exploring Madrid while developing your personal and professional strengths. This time is filled with Spanish classes, shadowing, networking, mentoring, workshops, travel and exploring beautiful Madrid! This program dives right into the Spanish lifestyle while building skills to enhance resumes.

Program Breakdown

Before Departure:

  • All PINC participants virtually meet through a video orientation, go through the PINC Pre-Departure Pack together, and have an opportunity to ask any questions. After the video session ends, each student receives detailed notes from the meeting through email.
  • Land on Sunday May 20th normally means a Saturday May 19th (US) departure.

At Arrival:

  • A PINC representative greets each PINC participate at the airport, assists with luggage, and ensures a safe arrival to the apartment.


  • The PINC Orientation is an opportunity to welcome the students to Madrid, as well as serve as a platform for each girl to introduce herself and express her unique interests.
  • PINC Meet & Greet Luncheon– after the orientation, the PINC team will enjoy a delicious Spanish lunch.

Spanish Class

  • The start of the program includes semi-intensive Spanish classes at La Aventura Española, an innovative and dynamic Spanish school located in the heart of Madrid.
    • This Spanish school is also accredited by the Instituto Cervantes, which is the highest form of accreditation a language school in Spain can receive.

  • Students participate in fun, interactive activities throughout the city that requires them to be immersed in the language and culture.

*Please note some activities require an entrance fee that are not included in the program price. 

First Weekend

  • Weekends are designed for free time.
  • Opportunity to travel or explore Madrid’s museums or flea markets

Day Trip to Segovia

  • Students enjoy a day dedicated to exploring a famous Spanish town, Segovia. This day is filled with visiting famous landmarks and enjoying a traditional Spanish lunch.


  • Part of the experience is to also to reflect on jobs or positions you would like to explore. One day is dedicated to shadowing a mentor in a position or industry you are interested in. You can talk to someone in your field of interest and ask all the candid questions you want and see what “a day in the life of…” is like.

PINC Development Workshops

  • Five PINC Development Workshops focusing on personal and professional growth
  • Female trainers who are experts in their field lead these 3-hour workshops.
  • Breakfast provided and an optional 2-hour “menú del día” lunch consisting of a starter, a main dish, bread, drink and dessert. During this week your afternoons are free for shopping and exploration.
  • Workshops topics are as follows:
    • Goal setting
    • Motivation Tactics
    • How to Stand Out
    • Interview Techniques
    • Social Media and Networking


  • Networking and building national and international connections is an integral part of building a network. Each girl’s network quickly expands, not only between the PINC students from various universities and locations within the United States but also through the different women and mentors integrated within this program. These different women provide informational interviews, giving insight within desired fields of work, lead the PINC Development workshops, and beyond. The ambitious women inspire by developing ideas, launching companies, and by being determined entrepreneurs.

PINC Mentorship

  • Once you are part of that PINC family you become part of a legacy and a community of women who are there to support, guide and encourage you. After the program we provide you access to the PINC Professional community and even organize a mentor. PINC Professionals consist of women from all over the globe and with a diverse range of professional fields, who will be at your disposal during and after the program.
