Erin O’Flaherty
University: Southern Illinois University Edwardsville
Major: Psychology and Exercise Science
Minor: Nutrition

I am most excited to learn about Spain’s rich history and culture and connect with new individuals and the women also in the internship program. – Erin

Which groups/sorority/organization are you currently affiliated with?
I am currently an active member of Alpha Xi Delta, I hold the position of Vice President of Risk Management for the Panhellenic Council and am on Student Government as a Senator for the College of Education, Health, and Human Behavior.

Where do you see yourself 10 years from now?
I am currently unsure of what career I want to pursue, but I plan on working in the health care field in ten years.

What are some of your bucket list items/places?
· Graduate in December of 2017
· Get my Master’s degree in something ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
· Visit all 50 state
· Set foot in 6 of the 7 continents.
· See the tulip fields of the Netherlands
· Visit the Red Light district in Amsterdam
· Kiss the Blarney Stone in Ireland
· Climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia
· Zipline through Central America

What is one of your proudest accomplishments to date?
One of my proudest accomplishments, besides being accepted into this program, is receiving the Young Woman of Achievement Award in my hometown. This award is award to a young woman between the ages of 17 and 24, who shows purpose and strength within the community. I was honored and am still honored to have received this award three years ago.
